Organizations join forces in Québec to wean communities off diesel power

Inuit in Nunavik are taking a lead role in renewable energy projects across their territory.

In February, two Inuit owned economic development organizations launched Powerco – a new company to develop renewable energy.

The goal is to get people off diesel power – and supplied with renrewable power.
