‘I used to look at the stars and think, my mom and dad are seeing the same stars’

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission tasked with gathering testimony from survivors of residential schools has completed their second national event.

The hearings were held over four days in Inuvik, NT.

Staff from the commission produced a number of stories over that time and APTN is broadcasting one now.

This story from the TRC is about those who are brave enough to confront the painful past.
