A group that dragged a Winnipeg river in search for missing persons plan to resume their work this summer.
Drag the Red is made up of volunteers some of them searching for their own missing loved ones.
The members of the group say they feel the police don’t take their concerns seriously.
Now that other community patrols are popping up around the country it seems local volunteer efforts are stepping up to fill a gap in policing.
