A missing teen girl from Lac La Ronge First Nation has been found safe on the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border, but police are still hunting for her alleged abductor who fled into the bush on foot.
A Saskatchewan RCMP spokesperson said Kayla Natomagan, 17, was found safe by officers from the Cranberry Portage RCMP detachment which is just across the provincial border in Manitoba.
RCMP issued the Amber Alert after Notamagan was allegedly abducted in the early morning hours of Wednesday in Lac La Ronge. RCMP said shots were fired at a residence there at about 3 a.m. A man was found dead at the scene and Jonas Budd allegedly fled with Natomagan.
Budd is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as 5-foot-9 and about 170 pounds with several tattoos.

The RCMP said Budd is the estranged common law partner of Natomagan’s mother.
The RCMP said Budd has contacts in Thompson, Man.
Budd has a bear paw tattoo on his left arm, eagle head on his left calf, his left shin has a ribbon with the name Nicole.
Police believed he was driving a 2001 grey GMC Sierra 1500 with Saskatchewan plate 043 JEZ.
