In British Columbia, police are chasing a new angle to solve the murders of women along the province’s infamous Highway of Tears.
Taxi drivers in Prince George, B.C., are being pressured to submit DNA samples to the RCMP.
The drivers have been told that only a sample will eliminate them as a suspect.
The highway stretches 700 kilometres from Prince George to Prince Rupert, B.C.
Activist say about 30 women have been killed along the highway and many of them have been Aboriginal.
The latest case was that of Cynthia Maas who was found last October.
RCMP are now collecting evidence from all Highway of Tears cases, including DNA, and putting it into a central database.
