While most Canadians are following the NHL playoffs, the puck dropped on another championship tournament outside Montreal.
The National Aboriginal hockey championships kicked off in Kahnawake Tuesday.
The annual tournament brings together the best under-18 Aboriginal players from across Canada to play for their respective provinces.
And while the men’s hockey matches are usually the bigger draw, the increasing popularity of women’s hockey is forcing people to take notice.
