Remains of two Innu babies to be exhumed in Quebec

A Quebec Superior Court judge has ruled that the remains of two Innu babies hospitalized in 1970 will be exhumed. The exhumations are the first authorized under Quebec’s Bill-79 – or ‘Baby’s Law’ – which stems from the national inquiry into MMIWG.
