The number of Innu-aimun speakers is declining in the younger generation

Spoken from Labrador to the northeastern reaches of Quebec, Innu-aimun is the third most spoken Indigenous language at home. But the number of speakers is falling and experts say the younger generation of Innu are using it less and less.
