In the Northwest Territories, Idle No More supporters closed a busy intersection in downtown Yellowknife Friday.
Over 100 supporters took to the streets and rallied together as part of the Global Day of Action.
Temperatures outside dipped well bellow -30C, but that didn’t stop northerners from spreading the message being echoed nation-wide.
Many taking part in the blockade see the political day of protest as a chance to celebrate culture and tradition, while sending the federal government a message.
