Breaking ground on shelter for Indigenous people escaping violence

The Whitefish Lake First Nation in Alberta has broken ground on a shelter for Indigenous people trying to escape violence. This $3.4 million shelter will have six units and twenty beds. The shelter is one of 12 to be built in First Nation communities across Canada.
