Award-winning writer, journalist and filmmaker Tanya Talaga is known for tackling tough subjects.
Her first book, Seven Fallen Feathers, looked at anti-Indigenous in her hometown of Thunder Bay, Ont. It became a national bestseller.
So did her second book, All My Relations.
Now, in a three-book deal with publisher Harper Collins, she will delve into the toxic legacy of residential schools.
“I am humbled and honoured to be asked to write three books, and I have to tell you the first book only is on residential schools and the other two books will be on something different,” said Talaga, who is Anishinaabe and Polish.
