A Sipekne’katik lobster harvester replaced an Acadian flag after someone cut it down on a Nova Scotia wharf.
The crew didn’t want the loss of the flag, which flew alongside a Mi’kmaw flag, to cause hard feelings.
Especially since people in the area of Saulnierville support their treaty fishery, which launched earlier this week.
Crew members said they didn’t know who cut the flag down. And a video on social media allegedly showing the act could not be accessed.
