Alberta mother found guilty of manslaughter in the death of her five-year-old child

Lauren Lafleche from Alexander First Nation in Alberta has been found guilty of manslaughter in the death of her child. In 2015, Lafleche’s five-year-old daughter Shalaina Arcand was taken to the hospital for severe injuries to her head. She died three days later.
