The Nutrition North Canada program is now in full effect.
The program replaced the Food Mail program which subsidized people for shipping goods like food.
Now, those subsidies go to retailers, but the savings are supposed to be passed on to customers.
Shoppers in one Yukon community say the new program means they’ll have less choice and higher prices.
