Police chief calls report on Regis Korchinski-Paquet death a no win for everybody

Exactly three months ago, Regis Korchinski-Paquet fell from her balcony to her death. On May 27, six Toronto police officers attended a domestic disturbance at her apartment. During which an agitated Korchinski-Paquet fell. Her death triggered anti-racism protests in Toronto and other parts of Canada. But an Ontario police watchdog cleared Toronto police of any wrongdoing. And found no overt racism by the officer's involved. Korchinski-Paquet's sister called that conclusion disgusting. Interim Toronto police chief called the report a no win for everybody involved and said a recommendation from a 2014 report that looked at encounters with people in crisis will be acted upon.
