N.W.T. probing report Chinese tourists sickened with COVID-19

The Northwest Territories is investigating after hearing seven Hong Kong tourists who visited between Feb. 19 and March 17 have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus upon returning home.

An Indigenous tourism operator tells APTN News Chinese companies kept operating after the health crisis hit Canada.

Declaring a state of emergency will help the territorial government take control of such risks. A spokesperson didn’t return a request for comment prior to deadline.
