A behind the scenes look at Hometown Hockey in Cree as it prepares for Sunday’s broadcast

Coming up on Sunday it’s the second edition of Roger’s Hometown Hockey in Cree.

Last year, APTN made history, in a partnership with rogers Hometown Hockey in Cree, to broadcast the first-ever NHL game in an Indigenous language.

That partnership has been renewed for another six games this season, beginning this Sunday.

InFocus Host Melissa Ridgen talked to APTN’s Danielle Audette, and the Cree play-by-play master himself, Clarence Iron, for a behind-the-scenes look at how this history came to be.
