The Trudeau government said Tuesday that the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project is well underway.
The Liberals bought the project for $4.5 billion maintaining that getting resources from the tar sands to market is crucial to the Canadian economy.
Work crews in Burnaby, B.C., the southern end of the pipeline, are busy getting a marine terminal up and running and materials for the pipeline are being stockpiled in Alberta.
But a coalition in B.C. that includes the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs and West Coast Environmental Law, wants to know exactly how must the construction of the Trans Mountain expansion is going to cost Canadian taxpayers.
This project would have been competed by an outside company at no cost to taxpayers if we weren’t just so dam incredibly stupid…
