Treaty 6 grand chief says if people are serious about Wexit, there had better be consultation

In Western Canada there is a growing voice calling on the provinces to leave Canada.

It started shortly after the federal election Oct. 21, where the Liberal party failed to win any seat in Saskatchewan or Alberta.

Wexit, as it’s known, is the word being used to describe the movement.

But Wilton Littlechild, the grand chief of Treaty six, says Indigenous voices must be consulted first.
