Respected Saskatchewan Elder dies at 84

Tony Cote was known for a lot of things.

But his enduring legacy will be helping youth through sport by starting the Saskatchewan First Nations summer and winter games in 1974.

The former chief of Cote First Nation died July 31 at 84 years of age.

The sporting event is now called the Tony Cote First Nations Summer/Winter Games in his honour.
