Sagkeeng delivers eviction notices over alleged meth use

Sagkeeng First Nation has delivered eviction notices to two households in the Manitoba community alleged to be involved with meth use.

Earlier this month the Sagkeeng band council served the two eviction notices. And days later, the community rallied together to serve the residents a second notice.

While RCMP have not laid any drug-related charges against the residents, community leaders say those occupying the homes have agreed to vacate.

Sagkeeng Chief Derrick Henderson says the homes may be demolished, and that the community has offered support to the residents.
