First Nations residents displaced as Alberta wildfires grow

As 30 active wildfires continue to burn in Alberta, one out of control blaze has forced more than 4,000 residents from their homes.

Hundreds of residents from the Dene Tha’ First Nation were evacuated on Tuesday, and there’s no word on when they can return.

The fire keeping them away from their homes has grown to 90,000 hectares and remains about three kilometres from the community of High Level.

Fire crews from B.C., Ontario and the Maritimes are expected to be deployed this week to help fight the fires.
