What worked and what didn’t – a look at federal politics in 2018 on Parliament Hill

In 2018, Parliament Hill was a flurry of legislative activity having to do with First Nation, Metis and Inuit Peoples.

Not all of it successfully made it through – including perhaps one of the biggest announcements that happened on Valentine’s Day.

That’s when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a speech about renewing the relationship between First Nation, Metis and Inuit Peoples through a rights framework that, even now, few understand.
