Supporters of Labrador land protectors use Halloween theme for parliament hill protest

Ottawa area supporters of the Labrador land protectors fight against the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric project used a Halloween theme to get the attention of politicians in Ottawa Monday.

The dam is a controversial project for Inuit, Innu and non-Indigenous peoples living downstream from the massive dam which sits 30 kilometres west of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador along the Churchill river.

Last week more than a dozen land protectors were on trial for ignoring a court injunction to stay away from the Muskrat Falls contruction site and trespassing.
