The Kingsclear First Nation in New Brunswick is divided.
Not by politics or any particular issue – but by a highway.
For years cars have been speeding through the community – and the route has now turned deadly.
On September 7, a 27-year old mother was killed trying to get across.
Now the community is vowing to hold a vigil at the site until the province helps to make the crossing safer.
On my drive to different parts of the province, especially going to St. John, NB, I see underpasses under the highway so that moose, deer and other animals can go to the other side safely. If they can do that for wild life, why not for Humans, more importantly at Kingsclear First Nation.
