Winnipeg family looking for answers after daughter found frozen to death

APTN News
A Winnipeg mother says it received confusing information from a hospital about the status of her daughter who was found frozen to death days later.

Windy Sinclair, 29, a mother of four, called an ambulance on Christmas Day after fearing she was overdosing.

Her mother Eleanor called the hospital trying to locate her daughter.

That’s where she received mixed messages about her whereabouts.

And she now says her death was preventable.

A sad story. So she went to the hospital? Then left. Possibilities, if u are age of consent (in Ontario ), you can sign out of a hospital against medical advice “AMA” …unless you are a “form one = suicidal”. Also you can just leave and not tell anyone…the bottom line is a patient cannot be kept there against their will. That’s illegal. Even if they are an addicted to a susbstance. People have rights they can leave.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is a never something we are prepared for. I lay my Semma down for the family and loved ones dealing with the pain. But remember the one day you to will join her and her gem when you enter the western doorway. May peace be with you during this time and my prayers are with you all.

  5. I am a little confused where did the ambulance take her? If left in the care of the hospital. Why was she found frozen to death elsewhere?
