Treaty Alliance vows to fight other projects after TransCanada ends Energy East pipeline

A group of First Nations leaders who formed to fight pipeline projects across Canada says they will continue their push to stop three other pipelines now that the TransCanada Energy East pipeline is dead.

    These long pipelines are not necessary. We should not be shipping our oil out, anyway. We can process it here, and use it here. There’s no need to get the oceans all oily. We have to use our oil safely with consideration of the environment ad future generations. Why does this seem to be so impossible?
