  1. Carol bird says:

So sorry for your loss. Prays and thoughts to your family.

  2. It seems strange to me that so many First Nations people die so young, and it always seems to be those who are finding their way in the world, becoming successful in terms of majority social dictates, though they never have the advantages those majority others are able to use to advantage, to use to become successful. It is so common an occurrence, the deaths of young successful First Nations people, that it becomes an unusual phenomenon, an unusual phenomenon that is offensive in it’s common occurrence.

  3. What a brave young woman to educate women on this horrific cancer. God Bless her family and condolences to her family and communities.

  4. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MIRANDA FOR SHARING HER STORY FOR GENERATION TO COME. SHE IS SUCH A STRONG BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY AND HER INSPIRATION THAT SHE HAS LEFT BEHIND FOR US TO USE AND REMEMBER. IT’S REALLY GOOD TO KNOW THAT YOU CAN BE MISDIAGNOSED BECAUSE THAT’S IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT. I BELIEVE IN THE TRADITIONAL MEDICINE BECAUSE OUR ANCESTORS USED THIS AND UTILIZED THESE MEDICINE THROUGH OUR SPIRITUALITY.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW SEND MY CONDOLENCE TO THE FAMILY AND THAT MIRANDA WILL CONTINUE TO GUIDE US STRONG HERE ON MOTHER EARTH. AWAT’ZEE(THIS IS ALL)

  5. So proud of my beautiful wife. She never gave up and wanted good to come out of this experience. Hopefully lives will be saved and one day our health care system will support traditional medicine and naturopath alternative treatments just like they do normal conventional cancer treatments. Thank you (mussi-cho) to Tina House and APTN for honouring Miranda Silva and bringing her story to the national platform.

Also thanks to the amazing team of doctors Miranda had supporting her: Dr.Lemmo at LEMMO Integrated Cancer Care Inc. ,Dr.Dumount at Lu’Ma Medical Clinic (“Providing Providing Culturally Safe Healthcare”), and the Doctors and Nurses at Richmond General Hospitals Palliative Care Unit.

    1. Condolences to the family. Such a beautiful lady, gone too soon. This made me really sad.
