Urban tannery set up in Yellowknife

Hide tanning takes time and resources and not everyone can travel back to their home communities to reconnect.

That’s why one Indigenous group is hosting an urban tannery camp in the heart of Yellowknife.

1st I’d like to thank those who taught me…women from carrier & okanagan 1st nations. It has been harder to travel far as an older person so I am hoping these ladies would consider travelling workshops. I would definitely sign up beacause there’s always more to learn, esp about bone tools and it is so much fun working with a group of ladies!! Thank you sharing this & keep sharing the traditional work!!
