The company behind the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline is suing Greenpeace and other organizations it has labeled as “rogue environmental groups and militant individuals.”

Energy Transfer Partners filed the lawsuit with U.S. federal court on August 22.

The company alleges the group of “co-conspirators manufactured and disseminated materially false and misleading information about Energy Transfer and the Dakota Access Pipeline for the purpose of fraudulently inducing donations, interfering with pipeline construction activities and damaging Energy Transfer’s critical business and financial relationships.”

The lawsuit also alleges the groups that the company refers to as “the Enterprise” also “incited, funded and facilitated crimes and acts of terrorism to further these objectives.”

Energy Transfer believes the groups and individuals violated federal and state racketeering statutes.

The complaint says the “attacks were calculated and thoroughly irresponsible, causing enormous harm to people and property along the pipeline’s route.”

Another of the suit’s allegations is that “these terrorist groups also funded their activities and the Enterprise by using donations to fund a lucrative drug trafficking scheme inside the camps.”

Greenpeace calls the lawsuit “meritless.”  The organization says the lawsuit is “not designed to seek justice but to silence free speech through expensive, time consuming litigation.”

Well, well the boy’s are trying to scare someone with the injustice system, the thing that should happen is you and the other companies are held responsible when the oil leaks into the rivers. eh so just hang onto that suit for awhile it won’t be long before that happens.
