‘Quebec is really late in the game’ Friendship Centre testifies at Quebec inquiry

Officials with the friendship centre in Val d’Or told the Quebec inquiry that the province is really late in the game when it comes to gathering information it needs to help Indigenous peoples.

An inquiry is currently underway in Val d’Or, 525 km northwest of Montreal that is examining the relationship between certain public services and First Nation, Metis and Inuit people.
