Indigenous leaders in Québec are demanding the province call an independent inquiry into the relationship between First Nations people and the police.

The demand comes after the province’s director of prosecutions said there wasn’t enough evidence to lay charges against officers facing 37 charges of sexual assault against Indigenous women.
