Chiefs at AFN assembly support call for sentencing crackdown on men who assault Indigenous women

Safety and security for Indigenous women and girls was the topic at the AFN’s general assembly on Thursday.

Chiefs there passed a resolution supporting Senator Lillian Dyck’s call to amend the Criminal Code, giving strict sentences to men who assault Indigenous women.
