Members of parliament are in shock after the sudden departure of Hunter Tootoo.

In 2015, Tootoo defeated incumbent Leona Aglukkaq to become the MP for Nunavut.

He was then named to cabinet as Minister of oceans and fisheries when the Liberals took over government.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the 53 year old Inuk was out.

As APTN’s Annette Francis reports, Prime Minister Trudeau has different ways of saying good bye.
