According to the most recent census, Indigenous people make up about 16 per cent of Saskatchewan’s population.

In the most recent labour force survey, the unemployment rate for Indigenous people in the province is two to four times lower than the rest of the population.

So it’s not surprise that Indigenous education and employment are big talking points in the upcoming provincial election.
