10 years after fatal fire, community still looking for help

10 years ago, a fire ripped through the police station on the Kashechewan First Nation in Ontario killing two men.

An inquest was called into what happened.

Jurors heard about the poor state of police facilities in Kashechewan and in northern Ontario.

Conditions that led to the deaths of the two men.

First Nations leadership at the time time hoped the inquest would solve the problems of poor infrastructure and inadequate funding.
