Commission created before allegations surfaced against provincial police

A dozen members of Quebec’s National Assembly are learning about the sexual and physical abuse experienced by Indigenous women in the province.

The special commission was created before allegations of abuse surfaced against Quebec provincial police in the community of Val d’Or.

APTN’s Danielle Rochette found that the commission is hearing about things that goes far beyond any one particular incident.
