APTN Investigates: Kicking up a Stink

Rob Smith brings us Kicking up a Stink. The practice of sending treated human waste to farms as fertilizer has upset some people in a British Columbia interior valley. Non-Aboriginal ranchers and land owners have teamed up with five First Nations to try and halt this process. Yes, it does smell bad. But is it dangerous to human health?

    Good show and fairly reported. Was amazed at how ignorant minister Polak is about this issue! Imagine thinking cow manure is more problematic than sewer sludge – with all the thousands of dangerous chemicals collected in it. She obviously has the sludge industry’s interests at heart, and not the citizens of BC ….
