Montreal Lake Chief says province gave community false sense of security about wildfires

The Montreal Lake chief says the province of Saskatchewan continually told him the community was safe from wildfires.

The community about 100 kilometres north of Prince Albert and 15 families have lost their homes to fire.

    I imagine the community would be safe in a predictable year of forest fires. This year is 10x what often occurs in the province. This year we needed Ont and military help.
