Canada could be taking a troubled Yukon First Nation to court over its failure to post its finances.

The Liard First Nation is no stranger to financial woes.

The community is currently under third party management and it has yet to post its financial records online as required by Aboriginal Affairs.

APTN’s Shirley McLean reports.

    And who gets to take the government to court over their lies, disrespecting and ignorin treaties, and more?

The Minister of Aboriginal Affairs should wait for the third-party management Adviser to release a financial report and recommendations instead of using accusations as a way of enforcing the Transparency Act. Third-party management was there before the Transparency Act was applied to the Fort Laird First Nation.
