Shoal Lake #40 is hoping international community can help with water woes

It’s taken 100 years, but the community of Shoal Lake #40 is hoping justice could soon be served.

Despite supplying the city of Winnipeg with fresh water, Shoal Lake is without a purification system.

Now an international water protection agency is bringing the concerns of the community to the United States and Canadian governments.

APTN’s Dennis Ward reports.
