The YWCA in Prince Albert, Sask., provides services to thousands of clients every year.

The majority of those people are Indigenous women and girls.

Prince Albert is where Marlene Bird was attacked in June. Her alleged attacker faces charges.

A body of an Indigenous woman was pulled from the North Saskatchewan River this week.

“There’s vultures out there that attack women … and they prey on Aboriginal women. We see it all the time,” said Donna Brooks, president of Prince Albert YWCA.

APTN’s Larissa Burnouf has the story.
