Men who killed Tina Fontaine’s father appear in court for sentencing arguments

The family of Tina Fontaine says she drifted away after her father was beaten to death in 2011.

Two men accused of killing Eugene Fontaine were in a Winnipeg courtroom today for their sentencing.

Nicolas Abraham and Jonathon Starr have already pleaded guilty to manslaughter‎.

Eugene Fontaine died from blunt force trauma as a result of the beating he was given in 2011.

He was then tied up to a shed outside where he later died of blunt force trauma. The Crown was asking for 10-year sentences for the two accused. The defense argued that was too long.
