A candidate in Thunder Bay’s municipal election is under fire over a reward she’s offered to help solve an alleged crime.
Tamara Johnson’s $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of seven so called “punks” involved in a swarming beating is being called a “bounty” by the chief of the nearby Fort William First Nation.
It’s not the first time Johnson has created controversy over comments and actions that some have deemed as racist.
APTN’s Dennis Ward had more.
There is nothing racist involving a reward for information regarding a crime. I really wish people would learn to understand the true meaning of racist.
