Emotions are running high in the Mohawk community of Kahnawake these days.
The issue is over eviction notices handed out by the band council.
A recent open letter from the council says that any current resident not on the Kahnawake registry is breaking the law by living in the community.
A public meeting was held Sunday to oppose the council.
