A grassroots campaign is underway in Winnipeg to get Indigenous people out to the polls in this fall’s municipal election.

“Indigenous Rock the Vote” is a social media campaign to raise awareness ahead of the October election.

Indigenous people make up more than 10 per cent of the population of Winnipeg, but many have never voted before.
