Rare earth metals are fast becoming one of the world’s most sought after resource.

But extracting rare earths from the ground is proving to be anything but environmentally friendly.

And with demand increasing, mining companies are casting their eyes around the world to find it, including in Alqonquin territory in northwestern Quebec.
