The families of two young men who crashed their vehicle into a Saskatchewan river and drowned are now calling on provincial leadership to make changes to the way the RCMP handle underwater recovery.
It took nearly three days to recover the two men and their vehicle from a river in a small northern community over 665 kms north of Regina.
While police waited so did the family who needed confirmation the men were in the car.
APTN’s Larissa Burnouf has the story.
Oh come on now they went in of course everyone knew they were in the truck under the bridge why so quick to put hate on the rcmps theres gotta be reasons as to why they took soo long.. im sure they didnt sit there with bad intentions to not recovver the bodies of these two men..why not focus on drinking and driving and educate or council these young people drinking snd driving..im sorry these boys died im sorry for what the families have to go through I am however glad no one else died due to them drinking and driving!,, soo sad and way too young!! Please stop drinking and driving EVERYBODY!!
. . . . But any other time they set a ‘posting Station’ right at the site – they organize ,and the divers are always in an environment where they do not have any visibility. They train for that specific condition several times a yr, NO? ….
it’s a sad story, but they did take too long to get them out of the water, someone should have a course on underwater recovery, I send my condolences to the Families.
