Saskatchewan Chief will not receive severance

APTN National News

Councillors in the Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation have done an about face when it comes to a decision to pay it’s disgraced chief a severance package.

Chief Terrance McArthur was forced to resign and eventually sentenced to 9 months in jail for sexually assaulting a minor. McArthur is appealing the charge and is on bail.

Some people in the community want the entire council dismissed.
