The water is now receding in southern Alberta.

But for several reserves heavily damaged by flooding, the hard work of recovery is just getting underway.

Flooding on the Siksika and Morely First Nations washed away many raods.

Homes were swamped.

Food, water and cleaning supplies are desperately needed along with volunteers.

And there has also been an urgent call for drivers and cash donations.

The Morley First Nation is located around 60 kilometres west of Calgary and that is where APTN’s Keith Laboucan reports on this story.
